Fixes for the website you already have

In my experience most small business websites work well enough and still have a list of things wrong with them. Maybe a form stopped sending, the footer still has an old phone number, the hours are from last year or the menu breaks on phones. I fix those and check each fix on a phone and a computer. The rest of your site stays as it is.

What this looks like

  • Contact forms fixed and tested with a real message, so inquiries reach your inbox
  • Old phone numbers and addresses cleared off every page, including the privacy and terms pages nobody re-reads
  • Pages that load slowly or break on phones, fixed and checked at real phone sizes
  • A tap-to-call button, so people on a phone can call you in one tap
  • Pages rewritten to say what you do today, along with the title and summary Google shows for each one
  • Tracking set up so you can see which pages bring in calls and form fills
  • A move to a cheaper host, with your email still working afterwards

Who this is for

Business owners whose site was built a few years ago and hasn't had much attention since. Often the person who built it has moved on, and small changes have waited months for someone to make them. You don't need a list before we start. Tell me the one thing that's bothering you most, and I'll look for the rest.

If you want more people finding the site in the first place, that's my marketing work. And if a site really is past fixing, I'll say so and tell you why.

How I check the work

I check every fix on the live site, the way a visitor sees it. I look at each page at phone, tablet and computer sizes. If I touch a form, I send a real message through it and make sure it reaches you. When I moved my own site, email and domains to cheaper providers, I compared every page before and after the switch and tested email going in and out. The yearly bill went from about $700 to about $92, partly because I paid four years of hosting up front.
